The Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association (NSIA) applauds the inclusion today of Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) reauthorization in the Senate Energy bill.
Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), chair of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), ranking member of the committee, announced today that they had reached a compromise on the energy bill, and that it includes reauthorization for LWCF. LWCF is scheduled to expire in September after 50 years of helping create and improve parks and public lands throughout the nation.
