Liz Hamilton, Executive Director of the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association was asked by House and Senate Leadership to serve on the Agriculture, Forests, Fisheries, Rural Communities, and Tribes Work Group – for the Clean Energy and Jobs Bill.

Additionally, on November 2nd she presented on how climate change is currently affecting our region’s fisheries and the projected future impact on fishery resources in Oregon. Her remarks focused on the $3 billion economic output of Northwest sportfishing, and on the direct economic effect of the ever-shrinking intervals between floods and droughts on fish and our fisheries.

Below, please find our working group written testimony prepared by NSIA, the Association of Northwest Steelheaders, the Wild Salmon Center, the Working Group on Seafood and Energy, and Trout Unlimited.
